Myrle Hoskiewicz

Myrle Davis Knight Hoskiewicz, 94, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Oct. 18, 1922, in Charlestown, New Hampshire, the daughter of George C. and Emma (Corey) Davis.

In Springfield, she was a homemaker for most of her life, working for a few years at Hoskiewicz's Market.

Mrs. Hoskiewicz was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Springfield where she participated in many church functions.

Survivors include four stepdaughters, Peggy Grimard, of Windsor, Patricia Allen, of Rexford, New York, Mary Cutler, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Helen Cantwell, of Stuart, Florida; two grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, William H. "Bud" Knight, and second husband, Stanley R. Hoskiewicz; siblings, Thelma Fullam, Corinthia Murray, and George Davis; and two children, Susan Knight Allen and Gary Knight.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at Davis Memorial Chapel, 99 Summer St., Springfield.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, at Calvary Baptist Church, 156 Main St., Springfield. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
