Nancy Mbunkur

Nancy (Lindsey) Mbunkur, 49, died Monday, May 1, 2017, at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, New Hampshire, after a lengthy illness.

She was born April 4, 1968, in Springfield, the daughter of Jon G. and Dorothy M. (Brown) Lindsey.

She graduated in 1986 from Springfield High School.

Ms. Mbunkur worked at Brookwood Assisted Living Facility in North Springfield for a short time; most recently, she was employed with Jeld-Wen Door Manufacturing in Ludlow.

She enjoyed cooking, camping and fishing at Mount Tabor.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Garland, of North Springfield; a son, Ryan McCarson, and daughter, Jordan McCarson, of Delaware; a sister, Dorothy Panichelli, of Sicklerville, New Jersey; her stepmother, Karen Lindsey, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; a half-brother, Robert Lindsey, of South Carolina; a nephew and a niece; and longtime companion, Jeff Blais, of Ludlow.

A memorial service for Nancy will be held at the Advent Christian Church in North Springfield on Saturday June 24, 2017 at 12 noon, followed by a gathering at the Church for a luncheon and time to share memories and celebrate Nancy's life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Humane Society, 401 Skitchewaug Trail, Springfield, VT 05156.

Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
