Larry Vittum



Larry Vittum, 83, died Saturday Oct. 13, 2018 at his home in Reading, Vermont

Larry was born on Sept. 13, 1935 in Springfield, Vermont the son of Jerald, Sr. and Thelma (Cady) Vittum.

Larry graduated from Springfield High School in 1956 and then served in the U.S. Navy until 1960. On Aug. 17, 1972 he married Audrey Griggs, and they lived and raised their family in Reading, Vermont. Larry worked for Fellows Gear Shaper for many of those years.

Larry enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting, softball, and playing cards. He was a proud member of the Reading Fire Department.

He is survived by his son, Dan McFadden; four grandchildren, Arnold, Ariel, Marcus, and Jaxon; his brother Richard and sister Judy Henning. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Audrey, a sister Donna, and a brother Jerald, Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. in the Felchville Cemetery in Reading, Vermont.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Reading Fire Dept., P. O. Box 42, Reading, Vermont 05062.

Ronald K. Baker Jr.



Ronald K. Baker Jr., 65, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.

He was born May 11, 1952, in Cambridge, New York, the son of Marion (Lilley) and Ronald K. Baker Sr.

He graduated from Springfield High School, class of 1970.

Mr. Baker married Carri M. Stewart on March 18, 1978, in North Springfield.

He worked for Bryant Grinder Co. in Springfield, Fresenius in Lebanon, New Hampshire, GW Plastics in Bethel, and was a lieutenant at the Springfield Fire Department.

He enjoyed hiking, camping, reading and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife, of Bethel; daughters Emily Frappier, of Berkshire, Dori Baker, of Winooski; brother Bruce Baker, of Bellows Falls, sister Karen Baker Beardsley, of Springfield; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Baker was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Kim.

The private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
