Retha C. Kendall



Retha C. Kendall, 95, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, at her home.

She was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Springfield, the daughter of Fred and Edith Cluff.

Mrs. Kendall worked for the Town of Chester for 21 years as a secretary to the town manager and to the chief of police. She was also chief dispatcher for the Chester Police Department, Chester Ambulance and Chester Fire Department, a job she continued to do part time after her retirement.

She enjoyed cooking and reading.

Survivors include four sons Lee Kendall, of Keene, New Hampshire, Kim and Gale Kendall, both of Chester, Dana Kendall, of Andover; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield, with the Rev. Gerry Piper officiating.

Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery in Chester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chester Meals on Wheels program, in care of Senior Solutions, 38 Pleasant St., Springfield, VT 05156.
