Maria Rabuano



Mrs. Maria Rabuano, 87, of Chester Rd., Springfield, VT, and of Bee St., Frankfort, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Springfield Health and Rehab.

She was born in Abbadia San Salvatore, Province of Benevento, Italy, on January 2, 1930, the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Carmella Pacelli, and she attended schools there. She was married to Biagio "Benny" Rabuano on August 12, 1956, in St. Mary's Church, San Salvatore Telesino, Italy. The family came to the United States in November of 1956, settling in Frankfort. Biagio passed away on February 14, 1992. Maria was a seamstress for Leslie Fay Dress Shop, Mohawk, for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Apostles Church.

Maria is survived by two sisters, Antonietta and Lisa, and one brother, Tomaso, all of Italy, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Theresa Rabuano, on March 23, 2015.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort, and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 9:00 until the time of the services at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.

Maria's extended family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Springfield Health and Rehab, and especially Pat Lowden, for the wonderful care and kindness shown to her during her stay and passing. They would also like to extend a grateful thank you to Ray and Nancy LeBlanc for always being there for her.
