Joseph M. Barrows, 86, died April 18, 2017, in Venice, Florida.
He was born March 1, 1931, in Perkinsville, the son of Theodore and Gertrude (Warren) Barrows.
He graduated from Springfield High School.
Mr. Barrows served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He married Barbara Mandigo on Oct. 12, 1956. She predeceased him July 15, 1997.
He was a jeweler and watchmaker, owning and operating Barrows Watch and Repair in Guilford, Connecticut, for 35 years.
Mr. Barrows was an avid golfer and Yankees fan.
Survivors include his three children Mark Barrows, of Wallingford, Connecticut, Stephen Barrows, of Branford, Connecticut, and Lori Hart, of Madison, Connecticut; four grandchildren; and longtime companion, Bonnie Berkovich.
The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield, where a calling hour will begin at 9 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Plain Cemetery in Perkinsville.
