Helga O. Maguire, 91, died Saturday, March 4, 2017.
She was born May 4, 1925, in Proctor, the daughter of Martha (Klein) and Algot N. Oscarson.
She graduated in 1943 from Proctor High School.
Mrs. Maguire worked at the Proctor town clerk's office and at Montgomery Ward's in Rutland.
She was a member of the Mid Vt artists and she had photographed all the covered bridges in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Pennsylvania and New Brunswick, Canada.
She married George Maguire in 1961 and moved to Springfield.
Survivors include three children Helga Kivisto, of Sahuarita, Arizona, Amy Schueren, of Springfield, and George Maguire II, of Bridgewater; a sister, Iris Miller, of Benson; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Toivo J. Kivisto, in 1959, and in 2003, by her husband, George Maguire, whom she married in 1961; two siblings, Karen Kivisto and Chester Oscarson.
There are no calling hours or services. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel.
