Linda L. Richards, 67

Linda L. Richards, 67, of Charlestown, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 19, 1948, in Weston, Vermont, the daughter of Malcolm and Doris (Potter) Woodcock.

She was a graduate of Springfield High School. Linda had worked for North Country Smokehouse for seven years and for UniFirst for two years. She was a member of the Life Fellowship Church and was very faithful in her religion. Linda enjoyed baking, listening to country music and reading. She loved spending time with her family and her cats and other animals.

The family includes her husband, Howard P. Richards Sr., with whom she shared more than 28 years of marriage; her children, Carolyn Morse of Denver, Colorado, Jean Morse of Claremont, George Morse of Springfield, Emery Morse Jr., of Windsor, Andrea Carrier and her husband, Matt, of Unity and Howard G. Richards and his girlfriend, April, of Charlestown; three granddaughters, Heather Morse, Tiffany Carrier and Emily Carrier; and one sister, Terry Ferris of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Karena Merrill.

Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St., in Claremont. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home, with Pastor David Grasso officiating. Burial will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery in the spring. A potluck reception will follow the service at the American Legion in Claremont.
