Patricia Ann “Buff” Callahan, 69, of Claremont, died Friday, June 24, 2016, at Elmwood Center in Claremont, N.H.
She was born May 18, 1947, in Randolph, Vt., the daughter of Dr. Frederic J. and Mary Jeanne (Callahan) Guilmette. She graduated from Springfield High School, class of 1965. She later attended secretarial school in Putney, Vt., and Berkeley Secretarial School in New York.
She worked as a volunteer for the Department of Human Services in New York and for the Vista Volunteer network. She worked as a secretary for her father’s medical practice. She later worked designing and remodeling old homes in the Brattleboro area.
She lived in Springfield, Vt., Brattleboro, Vt., Newport, N.H., and most recently Claremont. She enjoyed design, remodeling and interior decorating.
She is survived by two sons, Shawn Walsh and Christian Walsh; a sister, Jeanne M. Lee; three brothers, Frederic Guilmette Jr., Stephen Guilmette and Theodore Guilmette; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her former husband, James Walsh.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Springfield. The Rev. Peter Williams, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, PO Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007-800. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel.
