Julia Rose Flood, 80, of Springfield, died Sunday, June 26, 2016, at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
She was born May 19, 1936, in Windsor, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Simennali) Garcia. She attended schools and graduated from Windsor High School.
In addition to being a mother and homemaker, she worked at Mack Molding in Cavendish for a short time.
She is survived by three sons: Joseph Digby and Edward Digby, both of South Royalton, and Charles Taylor of Oregon; two daughters: Wanda Daniels of White River Junction and Juanita Plumb of Georgia; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Josie, Eda and Ramona; also by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Alfred Flood.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield with the Rev. Gerry Piper officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
