Raymond M. Hatt



Raymond Marshall Hatt, 77, died Monday, July 10, 2017, at Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington.

He was born Aug. 14, 1939, in Auburndale, Massachusetts, the son of Alfred N. and Eda M. (Robinson) Hatt.

After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1960.

Mr. Hatt worked as a machinist at Jones & Lamson Machine Tool Co., Bryant Grinder Co. and Fellows Gear Shaper, all in Springfield.

Survivors include three daughters, Maureen Patoine, of Biddeford, Maine, Deborah Sayer, of Arundel, Maine, and Heather Hatt, of West Palm Beach, Florida; three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; a sister, Barbara Dube, of Amsden; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four siblings, Gretchen Wheeler, Howard, Kenneth "Pete" and Robert Hatt.

A private graveside gathering will be in Aug. 26 in Oakland Cemetery in Springfield.

Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
