Irma Nina Weinzierl, 72, of Rockingham, died Feb. 13, 2017, in Fort Myers, Florida.
She was born Aug. 30, 1944, in New York City, the daughter of Gelino and Sandra (Blier) Michelini. On Oct. 1, 1966, she married John J. Weinzierl, in East Hampton, Connecticut.
Mrs. Weinzierl was employed in human resources as a community outreach specialist with HCRS in Springfield for 30 years.
She volunteered with Meals on Wheels program and taught Sunday school.
She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener.
Survivors include her husband, of Rockingham; two children, David Weinzierl, of Bellows Falls, and Julie Strong, of Saxtons River; two brothers, James Michelini, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and William Tarn, of Farmington, Connecticut; six grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Athens Christian Community Church, with the Rev. Harold Noyes, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Meeting House Cemetery in Rockingham.
Memorial contributions may be made to Athens Christian Community Church Missions Fund, 1 Miller Road Athens, VT 05143. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
