Elizabeth F. "Betty" (Blanchard) Matulonis, 88, died Friday, April 28, 2017, surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 17, 1928, in Ludlow, the daughter of Lena Blanchard.
She attended Ludlow High School.
On Jan. 25, 1947, she married Herman J. Matulonis in South Reading.
They raised their children in Springfield, where Mrs. Matulonis spent most of her life as a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Donna Golec, of North Springfield, Debra Matulonis, of Wilder, David Matulonis, of Scarborough, Maine, and Daniel Matulonis, of Perkinsville; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by four brothers, Raymond, Casper, Carlos and Cecil Blanchard, and a great-grandson.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, in Oakland Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Humane Society, 401 Skitchewaug Trail, Springfield, VT 05156. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
