Colleen B. Fisk



Colleen B. Fisk, 87, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Springfield Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born March 12, 1929, in Springfield, the daughter of Sydney and Beatrice (Putnam) Burke.

She graduated from Springfield High School.

As a teenager, she worked at Wheeler's Pharmacy and later, she was employed in the Blueprint Room at Vermont Research Co., both in Springfield. Mrs. Fisk was a member of VFW Post 771 Ladies Auxiliary and Springfield Garden Club.

She enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

Survivors include five sons, Michael, Thomas and Rodney Watkins, all of Springfield, Jeffrey Watkins, of Tucson, Arizona, and Ronald Watkins, of Cavendish; two daughters, Jean Handley and Susan Watkins, both of Springfield; two brothers, Wayne Burke, of Springfield, and Lyle Burke, of South Carolina; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husbands, John Watkins and Lindell Fisk, eight siblings and a grandson.

The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield. Ernest "Puggy" Lamphere will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Oakland Cemetery in Springfield.
