She was born May 23, 1940, the daughter of Vincent and Antoinette (Bosse) Kovalski in Bristol, Connecticut, where she graduated from Bristol High School and married Gary Normand June 10, 1961.
Mrs. Normand was employed as an insurance claims representative with Hartford Insurance Co. for 12 years.
She enjoyed traveling, visiting the Maine Coast, reading and knitting.
Survivors include her husband of Springfield; son David Normand of Barkhamsted, Connecticut, daughter Michele Kucia of Canton, Connecticut, and daughter Tracey Daley of Winchester Center, Connecticut; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother Robert Kovalski of St. Petersburg, Florida; also nieces, nephews and cousins.
The memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Springfield. Friends may call from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of Vt. & N.H., PO Box 976, White River Junction, VT 05001; or to American Cancer Society Vt. Affiliate, 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
