Nathaniel Watkins


Nathaniel Watkins, 29, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 24, 2016, from injuries sustained in an accident.

He was born November 29, 1986, in Springfield, the son of Trevor F. Watkins and Erin E. Todd. He graduated from Keene (N.H.) High School, class of 2005.

Nate was employed as a truck driver with Ruggiero Trash Removal. He loved driving trucks and was a very hard worker.

He enjoyed traveling and recently visited Colorado, enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King books, the outdoors, riding his motorcycle and taking long rides. He was an avid Patriots fan and an avid home-brewer enjoying perfecting the craft. He also enjoyed music and loved playing guitar, and loved animals.

Nate enjoyed making people laugh, he was genuine and compassionate, always willing to lend a helping hand whereever and whenever it was needed. Family was most important to Nate and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Trevor Watkins and stepmother Mindy of Perkinsville; his mother, Erin Todd of Baltimore, Vt.; grandparents Glenn and Ellen Watkins, grandfather David Todd, grandfather Stacey Gates, great-grandfather Wilfred Lambert; two sisters, Jessika Nadeau and husband Matthew, and Annalise Watkins; two brothers, Layne Watkins and Collin Watkins; Aunt Heather Todd-Perham, Uncle Michael Todd, Aunt Carrie Fuller; step-family, grandparents Marty and Kristin Robinson, Uncle Andrew Robinson, Aunt Sharon Robinson, Uncle Michael Deshaine; girlfriend Jamie Lyn Loura; and also by many cousins, friends and co-workers.

Friends may call at the Davis Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of life gathering will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 24, at his home, 207 Kendricks Corner Road in Perkinsville.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the Black River Action Team, 101 Perley Gordon Road, Springfield, VT 05156; or Springfield Humane Society, 401 Skitchewaug Trail, Springfield, VT 05156.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
