Cynthia Bevacqua


Cynthia Bevacqua, 64, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday evening, April 17, 2018, at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She was born June 27, 1953, in Little Falls, New Jersey, the daughter of Daniel and Madelyn (Steel) Brodhead. She graduated from East Brunswick High School in East Brunswick, New Jersey and later received her bachelor's degree from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. On June 17, 1978, she married Mario W. Bevacqua in Spotswood, New Jersey. He predeceased her June 5, 2010.

Cynthia was employed as an interview selection coordinator with the Student Conservation Association in Charlestown. She gained great purpose in her work and enjoyed it very much.

She was a film enthusiast and a Bruce Springsteen fan. She enjoyed visiting Cape May, New Jersey. Cynthia loved her sons very much and enjoyed visiting them in Massachusetts and New York.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel M. Bevacqua of Northampton, Massachusetts and Keith S. Bevacqua of Queens, New York; four sisters, Margaret Brodhead, Katharine Brodhead, Ruth King and Janet Brodhead; also by many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

She was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Madelyn and her husband Mario.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield, Vermont, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday, April 22, when words of remembrance will be shared.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the Student Conservation Association National Conservation Center, 689 River Road, Charlestown, NH 03603; or to the Mario Bevacqua Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Weathersfield School, P.O. Box 279, Weathersfield, VT 05030.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield, Vermont.
