Ralph Carl Bishop, 93, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at Springfield Health and Rehab.
He was born July 23, 1923, in West Charleston, the son of Charles and Cora (MacNamara). He was raised by Ira and Myrtie Lyon in Westmoreland.
He married Charlotte Emma Morse June 26, 1942.
After military service, Mr. Bishop was a machinist at Jones and Lamson for 45 years.
After he retired, he and his wife traveled throughout the country in an RV.
Survivors include a son, Donald Bishop of Springfield, and daughters Gale Alger of Weathersfield and Diana Brown of Franconia, New Hampshire; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Oct. 13, 2011, and brothers Edward, Paul, Charles, Eugene and John.
The celebration of life for Ralph and Charlotte will be from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Crown Point Country Club in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Humane Society, 401 Skitchewaug Trail, Springfield, VT 05156. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel.
