Richard C. Ross

Richard C. “Dick” Ross, 70, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Springfield Health & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Sept. 27, 1946, in Springfield, the son of Edward and Katherine (Rice) Ross.

He graduated from Chester High School.

Mr. Ross was an electrician, self-employed for many years, and worked for Hemenway Electric in Springfield for several years.

He was a member of Chester Fire Department.

He raised Labrador retrievers, was an outdoor sportsman and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his brother-in-law, Edwin Peterson of Springfield, and nephews.

Mr. Ross was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Peterson.

The memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Humane Society, 401 Skitchewaug Trail, Springfield, VT 05156. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
