Marshall G. Brown, 67, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at his home in Windsor. He was born Nov. 21, 1948, in North Troy, the son of George and Marjorie (Mead) Brown. He attended schools in the North Country.
Mr. Brown worked on the family farm with his father in North Troy. He owned and operated LHD Taxi Service with his wife, Lillian, in Bellows Falls for many years. Prior to operating the taxi service, Mr. Brown worked at Robertson’s Paper Mill in Bellows Falls for several years.
He was a member of the Springfield Assembly of God Church in Springfield, Gassetts Grange, Bridgewater Grange and Pomona Grange.
He enjoyed playing and calling bingo, was a member of a Bible study group, book club and walking group at his apartment complex. He enjoyed attending band concerts as well. He was a devoted Christian and was always willing to help others.
He is survived by one brother, Jason, and one sister, Linda. Also by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Springfield Assembly of God Church in Springfield. The Rev. Marc Aube, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in New Westminster Cemetery in Westminster, where he will be buried beside his wife, Lillian. Contributions may be made in his memory to Assembly of God Church for children’s ministries, 269 River St., Springfield, VT 05156. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
