Leonard E. Brown, 93, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at the Gill Odd Fellows Home in Ludlow.
He was born Sept. 10, 1923, in Rutland, the son of Elton and Flora (Tucker) Brown.
He married Abbie Smith on Jan. 12, 1946.
Mr. Brown worked in the textile industry as a machinist for many years, and later as a custodian at Bryant Grinder Co. in Springfield.
He was an artist and enjoyed drawing, as well as old cars.
Survivors include a daughter, Wilma “Tootie” Tucker Chase of Claremont, New Hampshire; a sister, Rachel Morrison of Ludlow; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife in 2006; a daughter, Velma Brown; four brothers and four sisters.
At Mr. Brown’s request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
