Estelle Kathryn Lynch, 97

Estelle Kathryn Lynch, 97, born Estelle K. Parrott to Winifred and Frances Parrott on October 22, 1918, in Bellows Falls, Vt., died January 6, 2016, peacefully surrounded by family at Elm Wood Center in Claremont, N.H., where she lived for almost two years. Prior to Elm Wood Center, Estelle lived for 24 years with her daughter, Marie Pellerin, and son-in-law, Ronnie. She was predeceased by three of her nine children: Leon Francis Lynch, Marie Louise Pellerin and Dan Albert Lynch.

She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Parrott; her brother, John Parrott; and her sister, Joan Davis; and her six living children, Carrie Dixon of Springfield, Vt.; Donna Gaywont of Charlestown, N.H.; Colleen Weeks of Charlestown, N.H.; Joan Slaght of Westminster, Vt.; Sharon Wormald of Charlestown, N.H.; and Barbara Thompson of Springfield, Vt. She has 22 grandchildren.

Estelle worked for many years at Sylvania Electronics in Hillsboro, N.H., the IGA bakery in Bellows Falls and finally at Basketville in Putney, Vt. Estelle loved her family and remained active well into her 90s. She loved bingo, gardening, crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family. She was a social butterfly and will be missed by both her family and her many, many friends. Known to many as Kay or Midge, she will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Services will be held in the spring at the convenience of family, and a notice will be placed in the newspapers at that time. Arrangements are with the Stringer Funeral Home & Crematorium, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, N.H.
