Dorothy Dot M. Eastman 75, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday morning December 14, 2017 at her home in Springfield, Vt. She was born March 23, 1942 in Charlestown, N.H. the daughter of Henry Sr. and Bertha (McGowen) Benware. She attended Springfield Schools.
On June 3, 1978 She married Raymond A. Eastman, He predeceased her on November 18, 1996.
Dot lived in Vergennes for many years and worked at Simmonds Precision. She moved back to Springfield in 1983 where she has resided since.
Dot loved bingo and yard sales, she enjoyed dancing, crocheting, needlepoint, hunting and fishing and loved to cook.
She is survived by one son Patrick Tyrrell of Hartland, one step-son Bill Eastman of Springfield, one sister Gertrude Andrew of Springfield, two brothers Henry Benware of Chester, and William Knight of Springfield. One grandson Dakota Tyrrell, Also by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, one son and Shawn and two daughters Bobbie Ray and Alicia, and one brother Edward Knight and by four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday December 21, 2017 at the Oakland Cemetery in Springfield, Vt. Reverend George Keeler will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield, Vt.
