Loretta Wescott

Loretta "Lorrie" Wescott (née Gintof), 84, formerly of Springfield, died on April 3, 2017.

Born in Springfield, VT, Lorrie graduated from Springfield High School in 1950. Mrs. Wescott worked at Hartness House Inn and Bryant Co. in Springfield and American Optical Co. in Keene, NH, where in 1953, she met her beloved, late husband, Guy R. Wescott Jr. They were married in 1955. He later passed away in 1997.

Mrs. Wescott was the proud mother of Lindsay A. (David) Dunne, of Frenchtown, NJ, Guy R. III (Megan) Wescott, of Phoenixville, PA, and the late Richard A. (Christine) Wescott, of Clarence, NY; loving grandmother of Kevin (Jen), Megan, Peter Dunne, Ali, Lexi, Brett and Jake Wescott; daughter of the late Felix and Emilia Gintof; sister of the late Henry J. (Edith) Gintof and Michael E. (Arlene) Gintof, of Springfield, VT; also survived many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lorrie especially treasured her time with her children and grandchildren.

The family will be present Friday, April 21, 4-8 p.m. at Shepard Bros. Funeral Home LLC, 10690 Main St., Clarence, NY; a Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 22, 10 a.m. from Our Lady of Peace Church, 10950 Main St., Clarence, NY. Please assemble at church. Burial to immediately follow in Clarence Fillmore Cemetery.

Mrs. Wescott was a member of the Clarence Senior Center and the Akron/Newstead Senior Center. She enjoyed line dancing, parties and her collection of wonderful lifelong friends from all areas. Her greatest pleasure was taking pictures that captured memories and sharing them with everyone she knew.
