Edith T. Levanovich



Edith T. Levanovich, 87, of Springfield, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, at the Gill Odd Fellows Home in Ludlow. She was born Jan. 30, 1929, in Brattleboro, the daughter of Edson and Mildred (Eddy) Tefft.

She graduated from Springfield High School and attended business school in Springfield, Massachusetts. On June 10, 1951, she married John Levanovich in Springfield. He died May 15, 2002.

Mrs. Levanovich was employed as a machinist with Bryant Grinder Co. in Springfield and for many years, with General Electric in Ludlow and Rutland, retiring in 1989. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was an avid Red Sox fan.

Survivors include three children John "Jack" Levanovich, of Bethany, Oklahoma, Boris "Bob" Levanovich, of Morgan, and Roxi Benson, of Andover; a sister, Lynda Patenaude, of Chester; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Humane Society, 401 Skitchewaug Trail, Springfield, VT 05156. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
