Beverly Streeter (Grimes)

Beverly Streeter (Grimes), age 68, of Bradford, crossed over Tuesday, December 20, 2016, due to chronic kidney disease. She was born Oct. 2, 1948, in Springfield, Vermont, the daughter of Pauline and Harold Streeter.

For the last 15 years she led a non-profit group, the Vermont Sunshine Society Inc. She referred to this organization as a "gift" to her.

She is survived by her beloved companion of 25 years, Stephen J. Johnson; her younger brother, Richard Streeter and his wife, Natalie, of Mayer, Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Kathi Streeter and Jayne Streeter; three daughters, Nikole and Audrey Ranieri of Wilder, Vermont and Andrea Grimes of Leominster, Massachusetts, nieces and nephews and her grandson, Noah Ranieri, who added years to her life and life to her years; and her friend Linnie Johnson who has been a constant source of fun and support over the years. She was predeceased by two brothers, Herbert Streeter (and his son Jeffery) and Raymond Streeter.

Before Bev retired in 2010, she worked for Craig Lewis and Doug Dulac at Fleck and Lewis Architects in Hanover, New Hampshire, and considered them two of the greatest guys in the world. Bev considered raising her daughters to be the most important thing in her life. She loved being a mom. She also loved riding with Steve on the trikes he built and visiting York, Maine, with her buddy Linnie.

Bev's cats, Gus and Holly, have helped her be more comfortable and heal more quickly after her many surgeries. Now they will be helping Steve to heal. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bev's name can be made to the Upper Valley Humane Society, 300 Old Route 10, Enfield, NH 03748.

There will be a memorial service in the spring. Jesus, I am yours.
