Steven J. Lapre

Steven J. Lapre, 37, died Thursday, June 9, 2016, in Springfield. He was born March 8, 1979, in Springfield, the son of Robert P. Lapre and Ruby A. Hill. He attended Springfield schools and received his GED. He later attended the Tech Center in Springfield for welding courses.

He was employed with Len-Tex in Bellows Falls and Hancor in Springfield. Most recently he owned and operated Lapre Landscaping in Springfield. He was a painter, handyman and jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his father, Robert Lapre of Springfield; his mother, Ruby Hill of Springfield; by six children Austin, Julien, Jayce, Brandy, Miracle and Addyson; a brother, Bryan Lapre and a sister, Tanya Lapre, both of Springfield; and one stepbrother, Steven Moul of Springfield; by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 18 at Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Springfield at a later date.
