Marjorie E. Patton


Marjorie Eleanor Patton, 85, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the Willows of Windsor in Windsor. She was born April 25, 1930, in Springfield, the daughter of Merton and Gladys (Niles) Patton of Springfield. She attended schools in Springfield and was a graduate of Springfield High School, class of 1951.

She was a lifelong resident of the Springfield area, and worked as a housekeeper in the area for many years. She was active in the Springfield Rebekah Lodge, holding many offices. She was an avid fisherman and puzzle maker. She was a resident at the Willows of Windsor and will be missed by the Willows family.

She is survived by her sister Arlene Bradshaw, and nephews Brian Mellor and Michael Mellor. She was previously deceased by her longtime friend Arthur Shaw.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the Oakland Cemetery in Springfield. The Rev. Mike Pelletier, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Springfield, will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Vermont, 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.

Marjorie was a dear friend to me years ago. A very caring person her entire life.
