Alexandrea K. Ankuda



Alexandrea Kathleen Buchanan Ankuda, 56, of Springfield, died Friday, March 10, 2017, at her home, following a long illness.

She was born Dec. 10, 1960, in Malden, Massachusetts, the daughter of Edward and Catherine (McLellan) Albert.

She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice.

Mrs. Ankuda spent many years as a women's advocate, a recovery coach and life coach.

Survivors include her husband, Mark E. Ankuda, of Springfield; her children, Paul Kouroyen III, of Everett, Massachusetts, Anthony Geer, of Gold Coast, Oregon, Brandon Ankuda, of Manchester, New Hampshire, Christina Saif, of Salem, New Hampshire, and Catherine Gaudette, of Dracut, Massachusetts; her siblings, Veronica Warford, of Sparta, Tennessee, Jennie Paretti, of Dracut, Massachusetts, Linda Kuzins, of Leander, Texas; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Roberta.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 20, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 115 Wheeler Road in Dracut, Massachusetts. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Springfield. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.

So sorry to hear of your wife's passing. I remember meeting her at the class reunion and seeing how happy you guys look together. My thoughts are with you my friend.
